Learn how to apply effective standardised processes to optimise your CMMS (computerised maintenance management software) and data migration.

The problem

The world has gone through unprecedented times over the last couple of years leading to uncertainty and changes to the way we work. More than ever, asset operations and maintenance teams require an effective and reliable CMMS system to effectively meet safety standards and prevent critical failures in an ever-changing environment.

Capital intensive companies are generally risk averse. Whilst this can be a good thing in the context of managing major accident hazards, it does mean that implementing ambitious change can be very difficult. This includes both changes to an existing CMMS system or implementing a new system that is better aligned to the business.

The solution

As with any system, the quality of output is determined by the quality of the input.

A carefully planned migration is key to improving a CMMS system. This includes analysis of all fields and data sets as they are mapped, as well as consideration of the existing maintenance which continues to progress during the migration. Utilising a staging database or Integrated Maintenance Database (IMD) presents an opportunity to ensure the data is validated and optimised.

In this webinar we will outline the steps to a carefully planned migration and demonstrate how, in combination with maintenance expertise, a data migration presents the ideal opportunity to archive or cleanse old data, map new data, as well as standardising existing data to ensure a high quality and fully functioning new CMMS system from go-live. We will present insights and case studies of successful migrations to and from various CMMS systems that have been shown to reduce overall maintenance expenditure.

You’ll learn how to:

AI

Identify risks associated with ineffective data migration

Identify maintenance optimisation opportunities during migration

Implement maintenance optimisation methods using proven best practices

Who should attend

This webinar is relevant to asset managers, operations managers, maintenance managers, maintenance engineers, reliability engineers, maintenance supervisors and superintendents, plant managers and continuous improvement specialists.

Certificate

A certificate of completion that may be submitted for professional development hour (PDH) credits* will be provided upon request at the end of the session (see feedback survey).

The session will take about 60 minutes

*This webinar is intended to assist participants in retaining and expanding their knowledge base. Wood will provide a certificate for attending the live webinar if requested at the end of the session. Acceptance as development credits is at the discretion of the organisation that receives the submittal.
